write a letter to a letter lover..

Make a Great Lady's Day!! My mother loves to receive cards through the mail. For her 65 birthday, and retirement celebration, I would like to flood her with fabulous mail-art birthday cards. Consider this project like a flash-mob, but through the mail!!  She has NEVER thrown any letters or cards away - she has a collection stretching back to the early 60's. I wanted to do something special for her, and this would be a perfect gift ...she will absolutely love the experience.  Nicknamed June Clever, my mother, Diana, is an extremely caring, compassionate women who loves to love. Please consider sending her a 65th birthday card for May 25th, 2012. Here is her address: Diana Wright 53 Poplar Crescent Aurora, Ontario, Canada L4G 3M4 Thanks everyone!  Sincerely, Alison Smith

Eroticism always had been one of the motors of human being ¿Is it still a motor
at the present time? ¿Was it affected by the actual global crisis? Consider the
option to work about eroticism as a theme in all the possible ways, the
requiered size is suitable to develop it, and it will be interesting to prove
how the actual crisis is affecting eroticism in connection with Postal Art.

Vincent van Gogh

A part of the project Schooldays in artlife has already been exhibited in
2011 in Vincents Tekenlokaal in Tilburg, the classroom where Vincent van Gogh
got his first drawinglessons . The next exhibition of this project will take place from June 28 / September 10, 2012 in the townhall of Zundert, the city where Vincent van Gogh was born and lived during his schooltime. The townhall is situated on a square, facing his birthplace.

Please participate MAIL ART
CALL Invitation / Reminder
Dear mail art networker,

From time to time the Netherlands are hyped up with the Van Gogh fever. In
particular the region where I live is flooded with interest in every spot,
where Vincent van Gogh printed his footsteps. Van Gogh was born here, grew up
and went to school in several villages around me. With mixed feelings I
am happy to be in the eye of the hurricane. No strong whirlings yet in Van
Gogh’s schooldays. He attended secondary school in Tilburg. The school is named
Koning Willem II College after a Dutch king and in Van Gogh’s days it was
located in his former palace. Van Gogh was one of the very few students at the
time - from 1866 to 1868 - good marks. Suddenly Van Gogh vanished from
the schoolrecords into his wandering life, leaving us behind uncertain. There
is only a school photo left with Vincent van Gogh in the foreground.
Is your schoollife traceless in your artlife?
I am a teacher of history of art at this school. Art
education at the school where I teach young people is a very old tradition. Van
Gogh had his first drawinglessons from my predecessor. In 1990 I based a mail
art project on this fact.
I am very proud to be an art teacher in this particular historic
environment.

Now I want to reanimate the project SCHOOLDAYS IN ARTLIFE Use or represent an artefact tracing your own schooldays as a basis of your contribution.

Free size. Free medium. No returns
